The EduTrust Franchise

EduTrust Foundation favours creative expansion of opportunities. Franchising and expansion to other African countries is therefore part of our medium- to long term strategy (from 2024). EduTrust will actively encourage and support any individual or group that expresses an interest to set up similar social enterprise in another country. The purpose is not to exercise any form of control or to have proprietary interest in the new venture, but to replicate the example and success of EduTrust Foundation.

We intend to share our lessons, experience and expertise so as to expand and scale up impact across several countries in Africa. Benefits of tapping into the EduTrust franchise include introduction to our established international partners, donors, community of followers, sharing of online and other educational tools and copyrighted material. Due to applicable laws and regulations, and since social and cultural conditions may vary from country to country, modalities for replication and franchising will be developed on a case-by-case basis.

Franchising will be based on request by interested individuals, groups, organizations or partners, and associates of government agency. The intervention does not have to bear the brand of EduTrust so long as our involvement is acknowledged.  If need be, our team would be involved in transmitting our model with the purpose of adapting what works for us in Nigeria to other parts of Africa where an independent country team and country office would be set up.
