A significant portion of those underserved and unserved by the formal schools sector live ouside city centres. Part of the mission of EduTrust Foundation is to improve access to education in those communities by making educational resources accessible, affordable, useable and user-friendly. Our stargetgy to reach the communities includes learning from and leveraging on the successes of enterprises which have succeeded in small ways in reaching the communities. These include local schools and education centres, faith-based organizations, radio and TV stations, entertainment centres, NGOs and partners. To widen the scope and deepen the impact of our interventions, EduTrust will also identify and work closely with influencers and opinion leaders in the communities including traditional rulers, religious leaders, women and youth groups, and local resource persons.
