Complementary: We focus on reaching students, communities and populations that are usually not well catered to by the formal schools sector. In doing so, we support efforts and initiatives of the government and other stakeholders to avoid duplication and maximize the use of resources. EduTrust does not seek to provide an alternative education system but to improve what already exists.

Innovative: It is evident that the usual way of doing things in the education sector has not and cannot propel us from where we are to where we need to be. We therefore think differently, we do things differently and we do different things. We are committed to continuous learning and improvement; we welcome new ideas and keep refining existing ones.

Adaptive: We seek to find out what works where and why. More importantly, we realise that what works in one situation may not work so well for another situation and may even be counter-productive. This flexible approach enables us and our partners to adapt solutions to different contexts based on the needs of the people, schools or communities.

Collaborative: Our strength lies in our partnerships and our wide network. We see ourselves as facilitators in the education sector by bringing together human, technical, technological, financial and material resources and channelling them to areas of substantial need. Our interventions are designed in a collaborative and participatory manner.

We leverage the enormous potential of e-learning, mass media channels and the largely untapped potential of local resources in expanding education opportunities in Nigeria.
