The Corps will be project based and periodic calls for Volunteers will be tied to specific projects. The calls will be announced on the EduTrust Foundation website, partner websites, and widely circulated via social media.
The EduTrust Volunteers Corps is conceived as an important element of fulfilling our mission to achieve education for all and expand access to education in Nigeria. If we say that the government cannot do it all even in an ideal case, then we have to mobilize a critical mass of the productive segment of our population to contribute to national development.
The EduTrust Volunteers Corps targets youths between 21 and 35 years in all 36 States of the Federation and FCT Abuja. Although a university degree or National Diploma and completion of NYSC service are desirable, they are not strictly required to be considered as Volunteer. The Corps will be project based and periodic calls for Volunteers will be tied to specific projects. The calls will be announced on the EduTrust Foundation website, partner websites, and widely circulated via social media.
Given the need to be sensitive to the socio-cultural context, to promote local knowledge and for wider acceptance of any intervention, selection of Volunteers for specific projects will be based on considerations including local language, state of origin or residence for 5 years or more.
Project based Volunteers will be managed and supervised by delocalized project managers and supervisors.
